Guest guest Posted December 28, 2005 Report Share Posted December 28, 2005 Thousands take part in Bhagavatha Sathram Wednesday December 28 2005 11:12 IST PATHANAMTHITTA: Thousands of devotees, including those from the neighbouring districts of Alappuzha, Kottayam and Kollam, participated in the Srimad Bhagavatha Sathram on the third day on Tuesday. Ashtadravya Mahaganapati homam by Puthumana Sreedharan Nampoothiri, thantri of the Ambalappuzha Sree Krishna temple, marked the beginning of the day's programmes. Sanskrit scholar Chidananda Saraswathi of Oorakam, Thrissur delivered the discourse on `Kapilavatharam' and `Kapilopadesam.' Vedic scholar A.K.B.Nair delivered a discourse on `Dhruva charitham.' A.V.R.Ramanathan, Parthasarathipuram Viswanathan, astrologer and scholar Paravur Sreedharan thantri and Manjeri Bhaskaran Pillai were among those who delivered discourses on Tuesday. Dakshayagam kathakali was also staged. Around 15,000 devotees participated in the annadanam in the afternoon, the organisers said. http://www.newindpress.com/NewsItems.asp?
