Guest guest
While countries like the US are itching to get patents for yogic asanas, we in India which is the birthplace of yoga, are hell-bent on conspiring to finish off anything vedic, even though it may be beneficial to the masses. Swami Ramdev is now well recognised as a modern day Patanjali, who has created mass awareness about yogic techniques like pranayama. Millions have benefited from the simple breathing exercises he has been teaching and many have been cured of `incurable' diseases. Of course, Swami Ramdev has been very candid about his hatred towards multinational cola brands, which are ruining the health of our children. Also aggrieved are drug MNCs, who have been dumping medicines banned abroad in India. Ingredients in ayurvedic formulations like pearl, kasturi and amber are derived from animal sources, but without involving any slaughter or killing. In fact, these ingredients are often used in poojas and other rituals. The use of human bones has not been prescribed in any ayurvedic medicine. — Amit K Vyas http://www.financialexpress.com/fe_full_story.php?content_id=113995
