The Kalash yatra, organised by World Hindu Federation in Nepal, in an

initiative to promote and spread a message of peace and brotherhood

among people, arrived in India this Friday.

At the outset, the Nepal King Gyanendra gave the Kalash (pitcher) to

World Hindu Federation. It is scheduled to be carried around 49

countries of the world to unite Hindus and to create awareness among

them for world peace and brotherhood.

During handing over of the kalash toYogi Adityanath, President of the

Indian branch of the World Hindu Federation, General Bharat Singh

Kesar, international president of the World Hindu Federation,

said: "According to the Vedic Hindu Sanatan Dharma there are two

things important- one is peace and second is brotherhood. Thus

spreading the message of peace and brotherhood among people is the

main purpose of the Kalash Yatra".

Addressing the devotees, Yogi Adityanath, President of the Indian

wing of the World Hindu Federation, said, "The Yatra has been

organised to create awareness among the Hindus about the increasing

terrorist activities and to create unity among them." (ANI)
