Guest guest Posted December 28, 2005 Report Share Posted December 28, 2005 Kalash yatra arrives in India with a message of love, peace, unity Gorakhpur | December 25, 2005 9:07:34 PM IST The Kalash yatra, organised by World Hindu Federation in Nepal, in an initiative to promote and spread a message of peace and brotherhood among people, arrived in India this Friday. At the outset, the Nepal King Gyanendra gave the Kalash (pitcher) to World Hindu Federation. It is scheduled to be carried around 49 countries of the world to unite Hindus and to create awareness among them for world peace and brotherhood. During handing over of the kalash toYogi Adityanath, President of the Indian branch of the World Hindu Federation, General Bharat Singh Kesar, international president of the World Hindu Federation, said: "According to the Vedic Hindu Sanatan Dharma there are two things important- one is peace and second is brotherhood. Thus spreading the message of peace and brotherhood among people is the main purpose of the Kalash Yatra". Addressing the devotees, Yogi Adityanath, President of the Indian wing of the World Hindu Federation, said, "The Yatra has been organised to create awareness among the Hindus about the increasing terrorist activities and to create unity among them."
