Guest guest Posted December 13, 2005 Report Share Posted December 13, 2005 Make Sanskrit studies job oriented: Charak to Sanskrit Sansthan - Monday, December 12, 2005 News Ref.No.- -Jammu, December 12 (INFO) –Shri Ranbir Campus Jammu of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan New Delhi today celebrated its annual day at Abhinav Theatre. Minister of State for Road and Buildings Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister appreciated the efforts being made by the Jammu campus for promotion and propagation of Snaskrit. Mr Charak said that the need of the hour is to explore job potential for Sanskrit studies. He said that the best way to promote and propagate Sanskrit is to make Sanskrit job oriented. He expressing satisfaction that with the coming up of new campus at Bhalwal Sanskrit studies would get a new lease of life. Mr Charak said that Government would take every measure to promote the classic language having roots in Vedic period. The Minister also released Dr Ram Chandra Shastri's book "Chhando Vidhan Vimarshah". He also distributed prizes among the distinguished sports persons of Jammu campus. The cultural programme organised by the students of the campus staged a Sanskrit play "Subhardra Harnam" by Madhav Bhat in which the lead roles of Arjun and Subhadra were played by Mr Varchas Kam and Seema Kaushik. Yoga demonstrations were also presented by the students of the campus. Prof. Shridhar Vashishth former Vice Chancellor, Lal Bhadur Shastri, Rashtrya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, New Delhi presided over the function and the vote of thanks was presented by Dr Ram Chandra Shastri. Prof. G.
