It is a collection of the findings of various scholars who tried to search the ancient world without any prejudice and preconceived notions or racial or colonial biases. Presently, due to the false propaganda by the pseudo historians, the genuine and impartial authors have been neglected and so have gone into oblivion. Such great authors are neither highlighted not referred to by the coming generations of authors. This book is intended to bring into limelight the contribution of true researchers and discovers of the past of the world. It is a matter of great concern and disappointment that today in the name of writing history of the past in a scientific manner, the traces of the past are being obliterated in a very systematic and scientific manner. Satanic forces have always tried to darken the history of civilisation. Who can forget those dark events of the human history and civilisation when Alexandrian library, libraries at Nalanda and Vikramshila universities and the library at Ujjain was set to fire. >>It is all the more disgusting to know that today also when the humanity has risen from the slumber of ignorance, the same type of forces are at work in the different tribal areas of the world. The tribal population in Asia, Africa, Australia and South America is constantly being raided and raped with ulterior motives. If they are gaining bread at one hand, but losing their historical roots on the other hand. They are paying a high cost of their true history for the satiation of their hunger. No doubt the need of history comes after satiation of hunger, but by the time hunger will be satiated, the roots will be ruined. This is a kind of trajectory in which world's past has been constructed. Historical reality is already very difficult to map. But the mapping becomes more difficult when the motivations and moulds are racist, colonial and communal. Under the circumstances the intellectual myopia rules the roost and the squinted eye revels in the glory, might and prosperity of one's own self to the utter neglect of the `other'. The `other' then appears barbarian, vulgar, dwarfed and depraved, and the squinted eye is, at best, able to wink mainly on the muck and morass associated with the `other'. >>The present book is an humble attempt to fight the above situation. Indian Foundation for Vedic Science in association with like-minded organisations like International Vedic Vision in New York and International Foundation for Vedic Science in Canada has taken a lead in the direction of reconstruction of the obliterated past of the world. The canvas of the world history needs to be enlarged with a vast corpus of historical literature that has been churned out from time to time by a wide variety of scholars, historians, researchers and research institutes, and not with the help of excavated debris, fossils and skeletons. History is neither a story book to be fabricated on the heap of garbage nor a work of jigsaw fit done from the collection of some relics retained at Kabari's shop. History deals with the past of living human-beings and should preferably be written on the basis of records either written in the literary form or carried forward from generations to generations in the oral tradition of ballads, folk lores and folk songs. The countries who do not have any historical literature or oral historical tradition, can construct their past with help of their reminisces retained in the historical records of other countries. >>It tries to trace the history of origin and development of civilisations in the world. This is not the first attempt. Many scholars from time to time have been unravelling mysteries of the past traversing the same path. The present author make an humble attempt to pool the whole data that is likely to sink into oblivion and fizzle out from the gaze of all and present the same before readers afresh in the ensuing pages. The findings presented in this book are sure to reverse the trend of modern history and compel the genuine readers, researchers and scholars to rediscover and reconstruct the past of the world. The collection of views in the present book lays the foundation of Indo-centric worldview and sets aside the Euro-centric view of looking at the past of the world. When the readers will gaze the past of world through eyes of Vedas and Vedic scholars like Swami Dayananda Sarasvati and other scholars like Louis Jacolliot, Pococke, William Jones, Tod, Count Bjornstjerna, Elphinston, Eurebius, Heeren, Coleman, Pt. Bhagvadatta, Yudhisthira Mimansaka, Pt. Guruddata, Gurudatta Vidyarthi, Harbilas Sarda and P.N. Oak, they are certainly not going to have any choice but to join the above mentioned scholars in holding India the centre of learning and civilisation and paying tribute to her (India's) contribution for development modern civilisation and humanity in the gracious utterances of the seeker of truth (Louis Jacolliot) : >>Soil of Ancient India, cradle of humanity, hail! Hail, venerable and efficient nurse whom centuries of brutal invasions have not yet buried under the dust of oblivion, hail, fatherland of faith, of love, of poetry and of science. May we hail a revival of thy past in our Western future! This 157 page hard-bound book is authored by Dr Ravi Prakash Arya who has over 40 publications and research papers in his name.
