KATHMANDU, Dec. 6: Ministry of Defense reported that the Maoists

terrorists have been continuously carrying out their cowardice

activities such as violence, abduction and extortion.

 

According to the Ministry, a group of terrorists has locked out a

lower secondary school located at Dhala unit of Dhading on December

3.

 

Similarly, terrorists have abducted five women each form the wards of

Kalamando Sanagaun and Sajara VDCs of Doti on December 1. Nothing is

known regarding their whereabouts yet, the Ministry has said.

 

In Lahan, fed up and dissatisfied with terrorist activities of the

Maoist Group, 22 persons including a zonal level commander, who were

involved in the group in the past, have surrendered before the

district administration.

 

So-called Sagarmatha Commander of the Group Mahadev Yadav of Pipara-

5, Siraha, so-called Area Commander Arun Kumar Yadav of the same VDC,

Dev Yadav of Gauripur-9, Samped Yadav and Uttam Lal Sada of Rajpur-5,

Mohammad Isarafil of Hakapara-9, Chetana Mukhiya of Sanaitha-3,

Mahendra Sada of Barahathwa-9 and Hari Mukhiya, Ram Chandra Mukhiya

and Raj Kumar Das of Hanumannagar-9 of Siraha district gave in before

the District Administration Office yesterday.

 

Likewise, Badri Sada, Tarani Yadav, Sinukha Pachhawari, Raj Kumar

Yadav, Ram Balak, Muneshwor Safi, Chhatra Bhochi, Hanari Bochi,

Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Radha Mahato and Nayan Prasad Lal Karna

surrendered at the Office, according to the Office.

 

Meanwhile, a group of persons involved previously in terrorist

activities has surrendered before the local administration expressing

commitment to survive an independent life after having left the

group.

 

They said that they were frustrated with the ruthless terrorist

activities such as violence, extortion, abduction, robbery and

cruelties as perpetuated by Maoists, and the increasing polarization

and internal clash within the party.

 

According to Defense Ministry, Sita Karki `Binita' of Taplejung and

so-called section commander of the terrorist group Devendra

Shahi `Rabindra' of Humla district surrendered before the security

forces on December 1.

 

Similarly, so-called secretary Yadav Rai `Shanti', a resident of

Nechabetiyari area of Solukhumbu district and so-called area

commander and district member Binita left the terrorist group on Nov.

28.

 

Likewise, a patrolling team of the security forces seized explosive

materials, various equipment used for electric traps and logistic

materials from Darwang and Ilfu area of Mygadi district on Dec. 4.

 

On the same day, the security forces confiscated 200 kg of maize

looted by terrorists from public at Harkamale area of Bhojpur

district.

 

Similarly, 800 local people were provided health check up services

and medicines at a mobile service camp held at Darwang of Myagdi by

the District Administration Office.

Terrorists surrender

KATHMANDU, Dec. 6: Of the three youths, who had been abducted by the

terrorists from Malakheti Village Development Committee in Kailali

district on November 2, one of them managed to slip away from the

hands of the terrorists. He also handed over a pistol, which he had

managed to seize from the terrorists.

 

In another development, three individuals involved in terrorist

activities have surrendered before the local administration in

Bajura. Those surrendering before the local administration were Kosha

B.K., Bhoteni B.K. and Pankala B.K.

 

Similarly, Bina Karki aka "Binita", resident of Hadewa area in

Taplejung district and the so-called section commander of the

terrorist outfit Rabindra Shahi aka `Rabindra' of Dandaphaya area in

Humla district surrendered before their respective district

administration offices on November 30 and December 1.

 

Yadav Rai aka "Shanti", so-called secretary of the terrorist outfit

in Nechabetghari area in Solukhumbu district and district

member "Binita" surrendered before the security forcers on November

28 amidst growing disputes and violence within the terrorist grouping.

 

Similarly, 22 terrorists including so-called area commander Arun

Kumar Yadav and so-called area committee members Tarani Yadav and Ram

Balak Pal surrendered before the Siraha district administration

office in Siraha Tuesday.

 

The RNA has stated that the terrorists have been pestering the locals

by forcefully involving them in different campaigns in the name of

launching different campaigns in different parts of the country.

 

The terrorists abducted five women each from the each ward of

Kathmandu, Sanagaon and Gajari VDC of Doti district on December 1 and

took them towards the Pokhari VDC of the same district, the RNA said.

 

The terrorists took away 60 teachers including locals to participate

in their three-day so-called campaign in the same district, the RNA

added.

 

At least two members of the terrorist group surrendered before the

security force expressing regret over the acts of bloodshed and

terror that they were involved in the past, a RSS repport from

Dailekh said.

 

Among those surrendering before the security forces on Tuesday were a

so-called platoon commander and company in-charge of health of the

terrorist group Khadga Bahadur Kathayat of Lamra Village Development

Committee, Jumla district and a so-called chief of the village

people's government of Ruma VDC-5, Dailekh Kamal Bahadur Shah.

 

According to the district police office, Dailekh, those surrendering

have pledged to lead a life of a normal citizen in the days to come.

 

In Dailekh district, hundreds of Maoist cadres and militias have

surrendered before the security forces following the so-called

unilateral cease-fire announced by the Maoist terrorists.
