Guest guest
Muslim bridegroom seeks Hanuman's blessings for his marriage Mathura, Nov 14 : A Muslim bridegroom in this birthplace of Lord Krishna sought the blessings of Hindu deities on way to his wedding here last night. Sher Khan, a vendor with Indian Railway Catering and Tourist Corporation (IRCTC) Ltd., climbed down from his horse, to pray before Lord Hanuman and Goddess Durga at a temple, while going for the 'Nikah' ceremony. In the past, the 28-year-old has travelled to many Hindu pilgrim sites including Goddess Jwala shrine in Himachal Pradesh, Vaishno Devi, Nagarkot, Chamunda and Karaulli Devi temples. Sher Khan, however has one regret, his inability to offer namaz five times daily due to a busy schedule. ''I only manage to offer the namaz five times on festive occasions,'' he said. However, he is sure that the blessings of Hindu gods and goddesses as well as Allah will result in a properous married life. http://www.newkerala.com/news.php?action=fullnews&id=52794
