Guest guest
I was doing my morning meditation today, and suddenlyfelt a compulsion to worship Heramba Ganapati,Ganesha's aspect as the five-faced, lion-ridingprotector of handicapped people.I visualized him seated in my heart, and the followingGayatri invocation came to me:Om Herambaya vidmahePanchamukhaya dhimahi Tanno danti prachodayat Om(Om we envision Herambawe meditate on the five-faced oneMay the Tusked One grant us enlightenment Om)Then I chanted Heramba's mantra 108 times:Om GOONG Namaha! (long "U" in "Gung")While chanting, I visualized Heramba in my heartsending beams of healing white light to everyone Iknew whose health was compromised -- especially myfather, my friend Barry who has MS, Simone, andmyself. Then I assumed the Simhaasana (lion posture), andimagined Heramba seated on my back (he's not as heavyas he looks!), and we bowed in all ten directions.I finished with offering a sweet on my altar toHeramba, and thanked him.As a white complexioned aspect, I think Friday isprobably a good day to worship him (Venus's color iscrystalline white). It felt like a good healing exercise.Jai Heramba!-- Len/ Kalipadma Discover Use to plan a weekend, have fun online and more. Guest guest
I was particularly moved by your message, as I've injured my knee and have been limping about, waiting for an MRI this afternoon. I felt like your prayer to Heramba met some of my needs as well. Guest guest
"Leonard" means "like a lion." Heramba (like his mother, Durga) rides on a lion. -- Len/ Kalipadma --- james richard <nhraddude71 wrote: > What was the signifigance of him being on your back? > > Discover Find restaurants, movies, travel and more fun for the weekend.
