Guest guest
Some Hindus believe that Lord Vishnu gave an <amsha> or fragment of his incarnation as baby Krishna to Parvati to raise as her child. It was this <amsha> who got beheaded by Lord Shiva, and was given an elephant's head, becoming Ganesha. Note that the Calcutta-based artisans who make Ganges clay statues for Sacred Source always portray Ganesha with Lord Vishnu's weapons -- conch shell, discus, club, and lotus. -- Len/ Kalipadma --- tangchikhay <tangchikhay wrote: > > i like this picture, mainly because Lord Ganapati is > seldom > associated to Lord Krishna/ Lord Vishnu.
