Actually you can either keep track n a notebook if it is a long mantra and you do only a few per day, or you can determine how many days for example that you will do say 1000 per day. Often times people do more than the 125000 to make sure My experience is that engaging in a committed Sadhana brings benefits during as well as after the process.
