Guest guest
Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha This is the mantra which I have chosen to live with, or is it that the mantra has chosen me? I can't tell which. After living with it for many years I have come to wonder about our relationship. When I allow it to be important, I say it carefully and it seems to change me. When I am being neglectful or egotistical or depressed, I forget it altogether and feel abandoned, though I am the one who has abandoned. I did not receive the mantra by Diksha from a Guru, does that make a difference? I have come to forget whether the mantra is about Ganesh or the formless Atman, or the Ganas or the Guru. I can't tell anymore. It becomes formless and form at the same time. What would I be like if I truly allowed myself to live in and with and through this mantra? How could I survive without it at all? Sometimes I like to say it slowly in my mind, letting the sounds and vibrations roll through my soul. At other times it rushes by with no concentration or focus at all. What does Lord Ganesh wish of me? How can i ever know? What are your experiences? Henry
