Guest guest
Hello again... does anyone practice puja or have a specific daily/weekly ritual/offering? I have a small altar with a four-armed white/gold Genesha framed and on the wall. I also have Saraswati and Laksmi and a framed portrait of my Baba with a gift he gave me many years ago. Malas, incense bowl, bell, a cup of frankincense, dried marigolds, cymbals, candles, a ghee burner,& a burgundy cloth. I try to say prayers in the morning and mantras before bed at night. Does anyone have a nice morning prayer to share? It would be great to have something new to start each day, possibly dedicated to the Deities. Looking forward to hearing from you, Vena
Guest guest
Namaste, well of course one should practice daily puja in the home. even the simplest of puja is quite sufficiant. but if you do not have the time or the means to do puja daily. once/twice a week would still be pleasing to the gods and bring blessings into your home. the important factor is to worship with love flowing from your heart and with pure devotion to the diety or dietys being worshiped not neccessarily the rituals. when i started practicing Worship regularely i found that searching the internet useing the various search engines and the Words "Puja" and "Home shrines" was very helpful and I found a lot of useful information I also prayed to my ishta devata and opened myself up to him and thru the info found on the internet and thru my prayers i developed a nice daily/weekly puja for my home! my advice to you is begin praying to your ishta devata and searching on the internet and thru scriptures then listen to your heart there you will find your answer on how puja should be conducted in your home! Guest guest
There's a whole species of morning prayer in Sanskrit called a <suprabhatam>, which means "to go forth well." My favorite is to the nine planets: Brahma Murari Tripuran-takari (Oh, Brahma, Krishna, and Shiva) Bhanu, Shashi, Bhumi-suto Budhascha (Sun, Moon, Mars and Mercury) Guruscha, Sukra, Shani, Rahu, Ketava (Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, North and South Nodes) Kuru vantu sarve mama suprabhatam (Do, all you planets, help me to go forth well today) -- Len/ Kalipadma On Sat, 06 Nov 2004 06:17:35 -0000 "ekstasisarts" <ekstasisarts writes: > > > > Hello again... does anyone practice puja or have a specific > daily/weekly ritual/offering? > > I have a small altar with a four-armed white/gold Genesha framed and > on the wall.
