RESPECTED ALL GANPAtI UPASAKS,

 

HAVE RECENTLY COME ACROSS a GANESH PIC where HE has his SHAKTI

(skyclad) on his left feet with HIS TRUNK in "her yo.." , can

anybody tell me is it actually an old pic or some recent imagination

of somebody ?

Just my two humble cents' worth:

IMVVVHO, Lord Ganapati is the only deity who has 2 wives, Riddhi and

Siddhi.. Traditionally I've never come across a pic of Him with his

trunk in a Shakti's yo.. Just a humble guess that this pic you saw

must be a modern invention, probably by someone who is into aspects

of Tantra, maybe even Neo-Tantra, not sure -- just guessing IMVHO..

As Lord of the Muladdhara Chakra, maybe that pic represents

something along the lines of either Shiv-Shakti cojoining and as

Lord of Categories, He keeps the regions of the seven lower chakras

below the Muladdhara from surfacing as these (to my humble

understanding) are synonymous with the seven lower realms although I

can't remember what these 7 lower chakras are called..

 

Other friends here who have more information -- it would be

wonderful to hear from you regarding this! Thanks in advance.
