Guest guest
Namaste James, The segment was typed from the actual translated tome of 12 books combined with 1192 pages in small print. Yes a lot of washing and bathing is advised in most Hindu scriptures but friends hailing from Tantric lineages do not follow these restrictions Many Hindus accept the authority of the 4 Vedas and it is said that the Vedas were written for the 4 castses of India but Tantra is for all who aspire. Frankly if my Tantric friends in India or in the West were told to wash, scrub and bathe x-number of times a day, you haven't heard so many poos, pahs and bahs..... And if my strictly Brahmin friends were told not to bother, you haven't heard that many loud protests Can't win. Each to their own background, lineage and cup of chai (tea). Rudraksha contain electromagnetic properties.. It is said that Rudraksha find their own homes, not the other way round. There are those who would obtain rudrakshas to wear, thinking they can make wishes come true but ironically we are in fact the servants of the rurdraksha. When one recognises and is sincerely devoted to this, it is strange how things then seem to fall into place. Glad that you continue to wear rudraksha despite colleagues poking fun at the beads. If only they know what they're missing..! It is also said in some holy books (can remember if its the Shiva Purana or another purana) that "the instinct to wear rudraksha is the result of Lord Shiva's blessings in previous lives". Like yourself I'm mighty blessed to have Lord Ganapati around, nurturing and guiding..... Jai Shree Ganeshaya Namah! Taking a bath sounds sacred when described like this. I find myself fearing the complexity of ritual aspects of Hinduism as it seams like a maze that one could get lost in trying learn all the ritual acts and miss the mane point of it all. Its a fine line of checks and balances. Even when people at work poke fun at them I have no desire to remove them. I am also still glad to have Ganapati in my life nomatter how limited my knowledge is. He blessess me always and is a constant guiding light. > OM GANG GANAPATAE NAMAHA > Peace,James
