Guest guest
Namaste James, Sorry to hear the thread on your rudraksha mala broke. Fret not, the mala can be re-strung using needle and the color thread of your choice. Remember to tie knots in between each bead if it's a Japa mala. If there are broken beads on the mala, you may wish to replace the beads or the entire mala with a new one. Go with your intuition as to what you feel is best. I have several malas and find that the siddh mala consisting of several heavy beads and silver caps, is the one that requires frequent restringing due to sweat, body chemicals and other factors that fray the thread easily. Remember to oil the beads whenever they look or feel dry and thirsty. Oiling helps preserve rudraksha. They are sturdy beads that should last a lifetime and more. Guest guest
I tend to wear it around my neck alot .I think the damage occured when I was sleeping. I know your supposed to wear them around your wrist but that tends to be awkward. To much slack. I need a bigger wrist(haha). I just had one of my first encounters with Ganesh the day before they broke. I was sitting in the lotus position( ok ,half lotus.I have fat legs) staring up into the eyes of my brass Ganapati statue as I repeated in my head Om Gam Ganapatae Namaha" By the end of the mala I was ecstatic and for some reason brought almost to tears. The way I felt after could best be quoted from the Tao Tejing " I am like an idiot. My expresion like a newborn before it has learned to smile." I then layed down and slept better than I can remember in a long time. Im not bragging. Just sharing. Im sure that was just a tiny step on a long journey for me. Thank you and all who have helped me via the net,Jamessyzenith <syzenith .au> wrote: Namaste James,Sorry to hear the thread on your rudraksha mala broke.
