Guest guest
Some years ago, I was working at a big business building in New York City. Every morning I would pass a newspaper kiosk, buy a paper and a small bottle of juice for my coffee break. One morning I chose to wear a pin of Ganesha in my lapel. The kiosk manager, who was South Asian, burst into an enormous grin and said, "That is my god!" pointing to Ganesha. "He is patron of merchants." I grinned and said, "Mine, too. I'm a writer." We spent much longer than usual chatting, and Ravi (that was the kiosk owner's name) asked if I'd ever been to India. When I said no, he generously said, "Next time I go home, I'll take you with me." I transferred to another job before Ravi returned to India, but I've fantasized about what might have happened if I took him up on his offer. -- Len/ Kalipadma On Wed, 2 Apr 2003 15:50:40 -0800 (PST) SY Zenith <syzenith writes: > Lovely to hear about your friend being married, happy and peaceful. > I think you are right, he would be carrying his beliefs as his love > for his Motherland inside him. Guest guest
I am writer too, at least I was. I cannot say what I am after all this spiritual process I am going through. But writing indeed has been my work, passion and job for 15 years...You recon then Ganesh is our "patron"?? or tutelar deity? One of the few visions in meditation I had about Ganesha was that I entered a cave belonging to him. there were books not writen yet placed in piles one on top of the other along a hallway. Their covers where black. It seemed to me they were waiting to be writen...I ignore by whom perhaps inspired by Ganesha and writen by humans?
