Come to think of it, I once did a puja to Ganesh and his mother, and wanted to wave a <chamara> (yak-hair whisk) over their statues. I offered a petal, and pantomimed fanning them. Within a month I found a <chamara> on sale in a catalog! (Hmmm... If I wanted to lead a procession around my block on Ganesh Chaturthi, would He give me a vehicle?...) Guest guest
For example, I didn't have Ganga Jal (water from the Ganges River) for one of my pujas. I "imagined" it and went ahead with the puja. Few days later, someone wrote to me and said she will send the holy water to me from India....! But of course, I must pay for the shipping cost but I feel very honored. This confirms that Lord Ganesh heard my prayers, at least this is what I feel. Jai Shri Ganeshaya! I am not too ritualistic. I want to perform it though but I lack of some of the ingredients... I think I will try to do my best and imagine those inexistent ingredients while doing it..BlessingsBarbara Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable.
