Jaya Guru Datta The following is quoted from Sri Swamiji's response to a question at Datta Retreat Center during a Q&A session on Monday July 18th, 2005. Devotee:....How can I open up? Sri Swamiji: "DonÕt worry. Simply be silent. One day it will come. DonÕt try to open up. It is not your job. DonÕt anticipate. Just let it be. Swamiji does that for you. Physically, you must act, because you have a physical body. Because of your karma, you must respond physically. Physically, you need discipline. But mentally, donÕt worry." >From Message #3778 Sri Swamiji said: "My new year message is: Concentration and Meditation are very important this year. Try to be contented. You will be happy. Sadguru Kripa will be with you." A Devotee's response: <And since I Can not follow it,(Oh! I am a slow learner) I am not contented <with what you said, that He said. Sri Swamiji says that we must act. What are these disciplines...actions? By learning and practicing the Stavas, Stutis, and beautiful bhajans If we do these things He is giving us, Guru Krpa easily comes in the form of contentment, concentration and meditation. The message #3757 was clear about this. If we don't take the time to do what Sri Swamiji tells us to do, how can we expect to gain what He offers? Also from New Year's message: "If you believe Sri Swamiji to be a good captain of the ship, then confidently step in my boat. Once the journey commences, it is my command that works. Not your wishes and wants. I decide how to steer the boat depending on the weather conditions." Sri Guru Datta Hanuman
