By the grace of Sri Sri Swamiji, all of us have participated in the Shiva

Panchakshari

Mantra Japan in connection with the Maha Shiva Ratri festival. As you might have

noted,

the

collective effort is somuch that we have crossed our targets by nearly 500%.

Blessing all

the participants on the day of Shiva Ratri, Sri Swamiji has expressed His desire

that all of

us should be doing such meritorious events even more frequently.

 

Here is another opportunity for all of us to participate in a similar Yagnam in

connection

with the most important function for all of us - the birth day celebrations of

our beloved

Sadguru Deva.

 

This is time for all of us to show our love towards Sri Swamiji by actively

participating in

this eventful Yagnam. The

 

Sri Sri Swamiji has blessed us all to participate in the program of chanting the

divine

mantra - SRI GANAPATHY SACHCHIDANANDA SADGURUBHYO NAMAHA - for universal

peace and

brotherhood. Everyone can participate in this Maha Yagnam without any bar on

crede,

religion, gender or age.

 

In this process, the 64 days leading to the 64th Birthday of Sri Swamiji are

very important

and holy for us. During this time we will all take this Deeksha of chanting the

above

mantra

for 64 lakh times (6.4 million times). It is the offering of all His devotees

world over for

the 64th Birthday of their Sadguru.

 

The Deeksha will conclude in the grande finale on the 26th May 2006, the holiest

function

for all of us. The devotees in the US and Canada will meet in Datta Retreat

Center,

Pittsburgh to conduct the conclusion of this event.

 

Please expect a separate mailer on the detailed program proposed in the Datta

Retreat

Center

for the birthday celebrations.

 

The count of the chanting is expected to be reported evey week. All of us will

report the

count to the count co-ordinator, on a weekly basis, every Thursday starting 30th

Mar 06.

(viz., 3/30,4/6,4/13,4/20,4/27,5/4,5/11,5/18 and finally on the 24th May latest

by 5PM

EST).

You can simply send an email to JapaYagna with the count information.

Please

don't mind the reminder emails for your individual counts from the co-ordinator,

as

needed.

 

One can chant this Mantra with devotion at time in any place. Please make sure

that we

chant

with utmost love for the Lord of our hearts and keep the count so that we are on

target for

completing the naama Japa Yagna. The merit of this Japa Yagna will be offered to

the Holy

Lotus Feet of Sri Sri Swamiji on the very day of the birthday - 26th May 2006.

 

First time you start the chant of the Mantra, do the Sankalpam. Then continue

to chant

anytime that is convenient to you either individually or in a group.

 

If you cannot chant the following Sankalpam, you can mentally pray to Sri

Swamiji and

start

the Japa Yagna.

 

May all of us join this Viswa Shanti Maha Yagna and beget the blessigns of

Sadguru Sri Sri

Sri Swamiji.
