Guest guest
Dear Friends : Jaya Guru Datta ... ! This is how I will say it & this is how I have been saying it ... It is great to keep reading so many views about Jaya Guru Datta... ! I have never used its shorter form & it defeats the very purpose why we say it... Sri Swamiji's mission is to propagate the Lord Dattatreya's tradition. He has been adopting various means to do this ... by His Music, by Discourses, by having satsanga, by estalishing various other centers & many other methods... Let us consider a situation : I have experienced this many a times... When we are " out there in the World " all by ourselves away from our Datta friends... suddenly while speaking... because of our constantly saying it.. we say " Jaya Guru Datta " to a non Datta Devotee... He or she says what was that ... ? & a conversation can open up about our Sri Swamiji. At the end of a conversation between Datta devotees... it is usually " Sri Guru Datta " something equivelent to a goodbye ... ! So let us keep up & say it as many times as we can ... " Jaya Guru Datta " ... " Sri Guru Datta " Prakash ________________________________ JAIGURUDATTA on behalf of Kathoju Fri 3/17/2006 5:27 PM JAIGURUDATTA Re: Jai Guru Datta Jaya Guru Datta Jaya Guru Datta It is Jaya and not Jai. According to grammer...the consonents(words ending with it) will be mixed with the vowels to form a complete letter/word. hence JaI (consonent) is be mixed with A (vowel) to form a complete letter/word: (jaI+A)JAYA which will be pronounced completely as JA YA Jaya Guru Datta Latest News and Additions http://www.dattapeetham.com/additions/new.html Pujya Sri Swamiji's travel and program schedule http://www.dattapeetham.com/india/calendar/calendar.html Post message: JAIGURUDATTA We apologize if you have received this mail in error.
