Chandra ,being the sibling of Datta

Thats an interesting qustion,how come Chandra materializing from the Milky

Ocean,and again as a sibling of Datta many years after.

Before this we must try to delve deep and know some facts about our Puraanaas

and "Stories" and Log books.

We are talking about a Looooooooooong period.And Kalpaas happening again and

again,with all the Yugaas neatly laid accurately in them.It is possible for Sri

ramachandra moorthy to take his Avatar in again and again,as Sir Ramachandra

Moorthy,and lose his "Ring" inside the Crevice,(the gap in the earth so that it

falls to the Bottom World,and ask Hanuman of that Period to fetch it.

(But Hanuman of that period will be the same,in another aspect,as Swamiji

explains.I have read about this in a Bhakthimalaa article.)

Coming back to Chandra the Sibling of Datta,I would rather say that this

Chandra is another and not that Chandra,materializing from the Milky

Ocean.Chandra is not the moon we see,overhead.The Chandraas mentioned in our

puraanaas,are..say...holy people,having the qualities,or rather the duties of

being a moon.

Let me openly ask my (Datta)family members,to send their views on the

intricacies of our Puraanaas and the way these logbooks were written (or rather

"Told")

Swamiji once said that,"Not this Brahma...Not the one who is there now...I am

talking about That one.." during his 9 days Devi Mahaamityam speech at Chennai

in 2004.So there are Lot of Indraas,Brahmaas and Chandraas.And I always take

it,that Chandra or anything,any name mentioning any wordly thing like a planet

or something should not be taken exactly a the planet as the name suggests,but

the (can we use the word Amsa?) somewhat qualities and duties of that thing we

see now.

We have to keep in mind the theory of "Parrallel Universe",the 4th and more

dimensions,the worlds of the "other people" and Parapsychology and Paraphysics

and many more things the "western Science"could come upon.It is very difficult

to explain the old Indian Science,by todays means.So this science is not the

tool to learn about it.But poor us.,we have been taught through only this

medium.

Luckily we have as our Guru,The Lord Himself.

 

I welcome more views on my view,as this place is meant for discussion.Like

Swamiji has said in "Datta Dharshan" (Chandra born as a sibling to Datta is

mentioned there too) that "this book maybe used for discussion on the subjects

mentioned in it" ,let us discuss these useful things,rather than Vaiko joining

the mother,and Roman or Greek Bush scoring over his rivals in Mesapatomia.

Varaaha Puranam: When Daksha Prajapati cursed Chandra, Chandra also

retaliates and curses Daksha to get destroyed. He himself disappears

and hides inside the sea. Due to the disapperance of the moon i.e

Chandra, the growth of herbs, crops ete.., was hampered and religious

austerities came to a stand still. All the gods got worried and

approached Lord Brahma requesting him to reveal where Chandra was

hiding. Brahma informs them the whereabouts of Chandra and suggests

them to churn the milky ocean to get Chandra out. Accordingly Chandra

takes birth at the time of the churning of the milky ocean.
