Question -- Chandra being the brother of Lord Datta

Jai Guru Datta.

I always had this confusion.

 

We learnt that Chandra is the brother of Lord Dattatreya.

Also, if I am not mistaken Sage Doorvaasa also is supposed to be brother of

Lord Dattatreya.

 

I may not be correct on the later assumption regarding Doorvaasaa, but for

sure we read in literature that Chandra(the moon god) is certainly the brother

of Lord Datta.

 

But, we also know that Chandra is borne as brother of godess Lakshmi during

the great churning of the Mile-ocean.

 

Then how is Chanra also the brother of lord Datta since we know that Datta's

birth did not occur during the Mathanam(the Churn).

 

I request my fellow devotees to please excuse my ignorance and kindly help me

come out of this confusion.
