By the grace of Sri Guru Deva, the sacred Anaghashtami Vratam was performed very

well on the last Saturday, 24th Dec 2005, the Pradhaana Anagha Ashtami day, in

the Bridgewater temple cultural hall. About 90 families participated in the

Vratam. Every family was given a puja plate, with the Ashta Dala Padmam, Puja

material, Photos of Anagha Swamy, Aangha Devi and Sri Sri Swamiji, so that each

family could personally perform the vratam. Ram & Prasoona, couple from Boston

have had the fortune of performing the puja at the main altar (Pradhaana

Peetham). The Vratam started at 10:15 AM and ran till 1:00 PM. As part of the

Ashta Avadhaana Seva, at the end of the Puja, a dance performance was offered to

the Lord Dattatreya and Sri Swamiji by Ms. Bhargavi Ammu. At the end of the

Puja, all the participants have offered the puja material to the Main Peetham

and have prayed to the Sadguru Paadukaas.

Mahaprasadam was served afterwards to the contentment of everyone. About 10

members of the Jaya Lakshmi Maata Maatru Mandali cooked delicious food for the

entire gathering.

Sri Swamiji spoke (via telephone) from Hampi, during the program - so

appropriate that it was right after the Aavaahana of all the deities, and the

message was relayed live to the audience through the (PA) sound system so

everybody could hear. The ecstatic moment was relished very much and

assimilated by taking some time in meditation after the message. All the

participants have emotionally felt Sri Swamiji's presence in the Puja thru the

message and that was the highlight of the program where everyone has obtained

the graceful blessing of Appaji thru the message. The message kept reverberating

in everyone's mind. Our reverential pranaams to the Holy Lotus Feet of Appaji

for gracing the occasion with the divine message at that late hour in India.

Everyone felt very happy for the grace and blessings Sri Swamiji had showered on

this momentous occasion. Anagha Yantra prasadam that Sri Swamiji blessed and

sent (for this occasion) from Mysore was given to every family.

Towards the end of the program, while Maha Prasaadam was being served, bhajans

were sung for about an hour and the devotees dispersed by about 4PM after having

the Darshan of Lord Balaji in the Bridge water temple.

The puja done by Venkat in a unique way, ...whereupon the meaning and

significance of each act during the puja was explained as the puja progressed,

was very much lauded by each and every participant.

There were quite a few new families participating in the Puja who were very much

enthralled by the Puja and the message by HH Sri Swamiji.

This is yet another example of Sri Swamiji's grace, team work from the members

of Datta Yoga Center - which made this program a grand success in a very short

span of time.

Sata Koti Pranaams to the Holy Lotus feet of Sadguru Deva.and further, seeking

opportunities, energies and grace to perform many such programs and to be able

to live for the mission of HH Sri Guru Deva.
