A Petition for Animal Victims of Hurricane Katrina

Dear Friends and Devotees,

 

Jai Guru Datta.

 

Please sign the petition below to help save thousands of pets and farm

animals still stranded or left homeless by Hurricane Katrina and the floods

that followed. It is upmost importance that we appeal to federal, state and

local assistance in the Gulf Coast area to save animals, or else they will die

in the next few days if they are not found.

 

It is estimated that 60 percent of households have pets, about 50,000

animals might be in peril. We need the government to help,not with money, but

with rescuers. The coast Guard, firemen and National Guard must go into the

homes and help evacuate these stranded animal companions. Once rescued, the

Humane Soiety, Best Friends, Noah's Wish etc. will take care of the animals

from there.
