SOLAR ECLIPSE 3rd October

Dear Devotees

Sri Swamiji announced the following on 2nd October during the Sunday afternoon

discourse. We are publishing it for the benefit of those in India.

3rd October is Solar Eclipse in India. This year is very unique because the very

next full

moon has a lunar eclipse (17th October). The eclipse begins at 04.20 PM and ends

at

06.20 PM. (Indian time).

The eclipse has its effect on those having Hasta, Chitta and Uttara Nakshatras

as birth star

and for Kanya Rashi (Virgo). They are advised to chant the following Mantra once

during

the eclipse period

YOSAU VAJRA DHARO DEVA

AADITYAANAAM PRABHURMATAHA

SURYAGRAHO PARAAGOTTA

GRAHA PEEDAM VYAPOHATU

YOSAU DANDA DHARO DEVAHA

YAMO MAHISHA VAAHANAHA

SURYAGRAHO PARAAGOTTA

GRAHA PEEDAM VYAPOHATU

YOSAU SHUULA DHARO DEVAHA

PINAAKI VRISHA VAAHANAHA

SURYAGRAHO PARAAGOTTA

GRAHA PEEDAM VYAPOHATU

Other important rules to observe are:

* Dont eat during eclipse

* Dont view the eclipse

* Dont have any left over cooked food for consumption

* DO take your food by 11 AM

Dont eat anything till the eclipse is over, you take a bath, cook fresh and eat

* Do take a bath at 4.20 PM as the eclipse starts and then one more bath after

the eclipse

ends at 6.20 PM. Cooking can start after the second bath.

* Chant the Mantra if you have received from your Guru during the time of the

eclipse.
