AASTHA Channel & Broadcast Info. for Sri Swamiji's US Tour

The following information pertains to AASTHA TV, India's #1

socio-spiritual-cultural television channel, in relation to the

possibility of broadcasting Sri Swamiji's US Tour (&/or other events

in the future):

 

Sri Swamiji is aware of AASTHA TV & has given his blessings for them

to record the US Tour for potential broadcast, however, AASTHA channel

does not currently have video crew in the US, as they are waiting for

their Visas. Therefore, if the US tour is to be broadcast in the US,

a tour video will need to be submitted to the AASTHA channel.

 

Once sumbitted, AASTHA staff will review the video for broadcast

approval. If approved, AASTHA will broadcast free of charge (regular,

reocurring broadcasts incur a broadcast fee.) AASTHA will decide what

footage to use & may edit further for certain time slots.

 

AASTHA has made the following recommendations pertaining to Sri

Swamiji's US Tour video:

 

* Include footage from each US tour location (if possible.)

 

* Video should be primarily in English or Hindi, with a small amount

of Telegu or other Indian languages (most of the US AASTHA channel

rs speak English or Hindi.)

 

* Video should be 30 - 60 minutes in length, preferably edited.

 

* Video should be broadcast quality, such as DV format (no mini-DV's).

INFORMATION ABOUT AASTHA:

 

AASTHA - The Faith Channel, is an Indian socio-spiritual-cultural

television channel. AASTHA has been broadcasting in India since 2000

& has recently launched in America & Australia, with European launches

forthcoming.

 

AASTHA is now available in the US, 24x7 at Channel #2005 on

WorldDirect Platform of International Programming of DIRECTV.

DirecTV agent.

 

Within the US, AASTHA channel is currently only available on DirecTV &

is not available on Dish network.

Another possibility for AASTHA channel is to have Sri Swamiji's

discourses broadcast on a regular basis, similar to Gemini TV on Dish

Network.

 

This will enable DirecTV rs to benefit from Sri Swamiji's

discourses, as well as Dish Network rs. I am not certain

what the fees would be for a regular broadcast, but can obtain the

information, if there is an interest.

 

In the event there is an interest to broadcast with AASTHA TV, I

would be most happy to coordinate any correspondences with AASTHA TV,

as I am personally familiar with most of the US staff.

 

Obviously, anyone interested in submitting a US Tour video to AASTHA

(or arranging regular discourses by Sri Swamiji) would also need to

obtain Sri Swamiji's blessings for the final product, as well as

coordinate with others to ensure we are not sending multiple videos.
