Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta Dear people, I participated in the 63rd Birthday celebrations of Sri Swamiji in SGS Ashrama Mysore. It was an experience which words can not describe properly and i recommend every reader to make the visit to Mysore. Some sharings: I believe ones mere physical presence in the ashrama cultivates ones spiritual growth. Therefore it is nearest to a paradise on earth. --There were many (only) beautiful people in the ashram, .. i wondered why they all look so beautiful. I think they all look beautiful because they experience spiritual growth and therefore they are happy from the inside and therefore they look beautiful. This one should experience!! I went up Chamundi Hill a few times, when there was no program, because i was enthralled by beauty of the mountain and because i wanted to do some physical excersise. On top of the mountain there is a beautiful Devi temple. However somehow i did not enter the temple. The Supreme mother Goddess is very present in every part of that mountain. It is very special, this one should experience. Ones understanding of singing bhajans, doing puja, etc will chance totally if one has experienced it at the ashram. In the universal prayer hall or in the Nada Mantapam one gets an enormous boost of spiritual strength by merely participating. Interressing for some people might be that in the universal prayer hall pictures of many saints and sages are there even of Dayananda Sarasvati and Guru Nanak. In this beautiful hall one can read things such as: It is not the boat that is important it is important that you reach the destination. I believe it will even give a layman great spiritual satisfaction doing namashkaram or pradakshina in this great hall. This one should experience. Sri Swamiji is feeding the local poor people and aiding them with medical help on a daily basis. Helping the needy with a selfless caracter is the best karmic deed. So supporting the ashram is therefore a good deed. One should experience this. I was surprised that some bold devotees had travelled alone to the ashram and that they were there for the first time. I made my decision to go and participate when i read some recent online speech which said if you feel God calls you and if you have time then come and participate. Words can not adequately describe my visit, but if i have to write something then i would say that there you will have no stress. This one has to experience. I hope and pray that with Sri Swamjij His blessing not only i but also my family can visit the ashram soon again. Sri Guru Datta Winand.
