Jaya Guru Datta

The previous posting of words to Vande Vanara and He Hanuman had some

errors and the following is an attempt to correct such and it

contains the meaning of the verses.

Without diacritical fonts it is obviously more difficult to

accurately portray the sounds.

It seems the one who posted used double aa to emphasize the accent on

that syllable where it is used.

Sri Swamiji adds certain vowels to the end of certain words and those

have been added here as well.

This comes from the blue book which accompanied the cd. With spelling

such for clearer pronounciation.

e=long a

i=long e

a=ah

jn=the ng sound in young

u=oo as in moo

o=oh

Meaning:

Oh Hanuman! Oh Mighty One! You are the repository (like a mine) of

devotion, knowledge and dispassion.

1. You are the dispeller of devotees' problems. You never think of

anyone else except Sri Rama (i.e., you have deep faith in Sri Rama).

Whoever worships you will surely receive your grace and boons.

2. Hanuman, you encourage and energize the weak to become strong.

By your grace, all the difficulties of the devotees vanish in a

moment. Whoever sings your glory will not have any problems.

3. You remove the burdens and risks of the devotees. You remove the

difficulties of the devotees and the darness of ignorance in their

hearts. You enable the devotees to cross the ocean of samsara

(worldly bondage).

4. Hanuman! You are very dear to sat-chit-ananda (truth-knowledge-

bliss). Kindly remove my ignorance. I am very much tired in the

vicious circle of birth and death. Being the repository of mercy,

kindly bless me with liberation.
