Guest guest
contaminated attachments of mails that seem to be sent by the lists or by devotees there are contaminated mails being sent at present: attachments are not allowed on the lists anyway as far as I know. as for jaigurudatta list I am sure attachments are not allowed. dattavani not either. just for that very reason! so these messages with viruses or worms contained in attachments don´t come from the address from which they seem to come, but the virus/worm takes addresses from pc address books such as ms outlook, aol, etc and fakes the sender address. So everyone needs a good antivirus program, and still don´t open attachments that e.g. seem to come from jaigurudatta, dattavani list etc, or that seem to have been sent by a fellow devotee, but without any personal headline/greeting address (if its only 'Hi' it can just as well be a faked mail) etc. without up to date anti virus program, no attachment whatsoever should be opened. norton is good, mc affee etc. but there are messages that even fake to be sent by the norton or mc affee companies to warn you about viruses/worms .... ps: there are viruses that even take parts from mails or word documents saved on pcs which they contaminated and insert these text parts into the mails they send, again to addresses taken from the contaminated pc' s address books so without up to date antivirus program your personal data and your privacy is at risk, as not only addresses from your pc address books, but also parts of private mails or word documents might be taken from your pc and sent out by these virus/worm programs.
