Guest guest
[sri Swamiji's Epilogue, inside of back cover of the booklet) VOICE OF SACHCHIDANANDA As long as man has a body he cannot escape from work. However much he may try to remain inactive or actionless, he cannot do so. His svabhaava or vaasanaas or the tendencies inherent in him, drive him to the field of action. Works are such that some yield fruits instantaneously. Some works yield fruits after some time. There are others which yield fruits after quite a long time. But there are works which yield results after the expiry of the present life. To experience those fruits man has to be born again. Again he performs new works, to enjoy the fruits of which he will have to take birth again. Thus this cycle of birth and death - the journey from the womb to the tomb - never stops. If man is content with this merrry-go-round, well and good. But if man wants to escape from this wheel of birth and death and is earnest about it, then he should approach a Master who knows the secret and has freed himself from the bonds. He will instruct the student appropriately. He will show him the way to remain actionless even while performing actions. That way is the way of always chanting the divine names of the Lord while working. Such chanting and remembrance of God's Names will divinise every work as a result of which work loses its binding force, and becomes dedicated work. [on the outside of the back cover is the Sree Dattatreya Stotram, and the following recommendation:] 'Among the Several activities undertaken by Paramapoojya Sri Swamiji for propagating Self-awakening, Bhaktimala, the monthly magazine is one. Involve yourself by becoming a r.' [bhaktimala is available in English, Telugu and Kannada and is also sent overseas, by airmail.] Jai Guru Datta
