Guest guest
Jai Guru Datta, For those of you who were unable to download the puja, here is an on-line link with a message from the priests. Sri Guru Datta, Daria Sri Ganeshaya Namah Chitrabhanu Samvastara – Maha Sivaratri Celebrations. Asmat Guru Charanaaravindaabhyaam Namah.  May Sri Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji bless all the Datta Devotees. May everyone be happy.  Vaagardha viva sampruktau vagartha pratipattay Jagatah pitarau vande parvati parameswarau On the day of Maha Sivaratri, Lord Siva takes the Linga form for the benefit of the Seekers. Bhajans, Poojas and Abhishekams are performed on this whole day and night. Specially the 'Linga-form' of Siva is worshiped by doing the Abhishekam. Even by pouring a drop of water on the SivaLingam one will be relieved of all the difficulties, sorrows and will be blessed with joy and happiness everafter. Abhishekam is given lot of importance in performing pooja to Lord Siva. With chanting of Veda Mantras like Namakam and Chamakam, Rudrabhishekam is performed to the Sivalinga in all the temples of Siva. This is done not only with water but also Panchamruthas (Milk, Ghee, Curd, Honey, Coconut Water) to please Lord Siva. As Siva is fond of Bilva Leaves puja is also performed with these leaves. Even if you do Abhishekam with pure water Bhola Shankar (another name of Lord Siva) will be pleased. The following link has the Samkalpam (intention), and the procedure to do the puja.  http://www.dycusa.org/test/dfw/siva/siva.pdf  Devotees will get the beneficial effect even by hearing namakam, chamakam and doing Abhishekam. One who performs Abhishekam on this Maha Sivaratri day is sure to reach the abode of Lord Siva after one's death. All their spiritual desires will be immediately fulfilled. Blessings of the Sadguru will be with them always.  Praying for the well being of all the Datta Families.  Always in Sadguru Seva,  Datta Temple Priests, NPS Sankaramanchi (Sarma)               G Srinvasa Sastry (Sastry) Chief Priest, Datta Temple
