LESSONS FROM BHAGAVAD GITA – 50 As taught by Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji “The knowers of the Self look with an equal eye on a learned Brahmana endowed with humility, a cow, an elephant, a dog, and a dog-eating outcaste.” The self-realized sages obviously see Brahman everywhere and in everything. All the time they intuitively behold Brahman. To them, every object in the world is Brahman and the whole universe is a form of Brahman. As they see Brahman in a learned Brahmana, they see it in a cow, an elephant, a dog and an outcaste. For an ordinary man, everything in this universe looks different from each other. But the vision of a self-realized sage is different. He sees the same reality in everything. His attitude is that of evenness. For instance, there are different types of ornaments made of gold like necklaces, bangles, finger-rings, etc. Although the ornaments are of different shapes, in essence, they are gold, because they are made of gold. So the man of knowledge sees all the ornaments with evenness. He sees the gold in them and not the forms. In the same way, the pandits, the learned men of realization, see only Brahman in all objects in the world and not the forms. Finance - Get real-time stock quotes http://finance.
