Guest guest
Chapter 4 Verse 3 Sa evaayaM mayaa te'dya yogaH proktaH puraatanaH / bhakto'si me sakhaa ch'eti rahasyaM hy etad uttamam // I have this day proclaimed to you that same ancient yoga; for you are my devotee and friend. This (yoga) is indeed the Supreme secret. LESSONS FROM BHAGAVAD GITA - 28 As taught by Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji It is the same yoga imparted to the Sun God, in the beginning of creation, that the Lord expounded to Arjuna. The Lord says, "I have this day proclaimed to you that same ancient yoga; for you are my devotee and friend. This (yoga) is indeed the Supreme secret" (Chapter 4, Verse 3). The path of Karma yoga is a very ancient one. But in course of time, as people became selfish, they were disinclined towards it. As such it was forgotten. But it was not lost. It is imperishable. When there is a decline of Dharma, the Lord incarnates himself to re-establish it. Great incarnations like Rama, Krishna and the Buddha, and the spiritual leaders like Sankara, came into the world to restore Dharma. They preached the same ancient yoga to their people and made them follow the path of Dharma. It is the same yoga that Sri Krishna is teaching to Arjuna. Arjuna was chosen by the Lord to receive the Karma Yoga message. It is because he was very dear to the Lord as he was His sincere devotee and friend. The Lord does not have any friend or foe. All are the same to Him. But whosoever loves Him receives His love and blessings. All mankind, without distinction of caste, creed and age, is qualified to receive the Lord's message, provided they love Him and are devoted to Him. This yoga is the supreme secret to those who do not have love for the Lord and who despise His teachings. It is not said in the sense that this yoga is the privilege of particular person or community. Sign up for SBC Dial - First Month Free http://sbc.
