Jaya Guru Datta,

Here is today's saying:

“Tureeya is a name given for the sake of easy understanding and as such it is

not a separate state. In such a state Atma resides in the Atma just as in a bar

of gold, only gold resides. This state is also called 'Vijnana Ghanatva'

(absolute knowledge, solid knowledge).

In a bar of gold, gold is inside, outside - it is everywhere. Similarly, in the

Atma, (which is verily the consciousness) consciousness alone pervades

everywhere. In the vicinity of such a chaitanya (consciousnesss), the buddhi

experiences the three states. Because the three states are occurring, we say

that Atman behaves as a witness. In reality, the Atman does not undergo any

modification in order to be a witness. Nor does it put in any effort.

Therefore, the so-called state of 'witness' of the Atman is not a separate state

at all!"
