Here is today's saying:

 

“What remains now is the assertion- 'I' 'I'. This is called 'Aham' (ego). Can

this be 'I'?

 

The discussion is becoming more and more subtle. Here there are two 'I's. The

name of the first 'I' (that which asserts itself as 'I' 'I') is called

'ahankara' (ego). This itself is the Jeevatma. There is a second 'I', which is

more subtle and which is constantly observing the appearance and disappearance

of the first 'I'. Therefore, it is also called as 'the witness'; it is also

called as 'antaratma' (inner self) and 'pratyagma' (the interior soul)."
