When a lamp is lit in a dark room, it will illuminate the things in that room. Light is 'the illuminator' and the objects in the room are 'the illuminated'. Light and objects are different entities. Therefore that which illuminates is distinctly different from that which is illuminated. Try to apply this analogy to your body and see the result. You can see your body as long as 'you' are living. This means that 'you' are like the lamp and the body is the copilot. One is the illuminator and the other is the illuminated. Have we not understood that that which illuminates is different from that which is illuminated? Therefore you are not the body. (The body is not 'I').
