Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta, Here is today's saying: “It is quite common that grief or anger makes one quite irritated. Such negative upsurge of feelings make the blood pressure increase and the body gets heated. This is called tapa or burning. If such an awkward state of mind persists, gradually a man loses discretion and the memory of moral principles will fade away for the time being. As a result, evil thoughts, words and actions will ensure leading one to commit more and more sins. Thus, tapa and papa (sin) go together. The underlying principle to be followed is that one must try to control one’s thoughts without allowing the mind to go astray by the pulls and pressures of lust, greed or egoism. Then only it is possible to be balanced and righteous in one’s conduct. The vision of the guru brings about serenity and placidity to the devotee".
