Each day 20 Sargas of the original Valmiki Ramayana was recited with Homam and Ajyam etc., continuously for 27 days, and when the whole Ramayana was completed, on the 27th day, Samrajya Pattabhishekam (Coronation) was performed in commemoration of which a temple like Tower-Piller (Sthoopam) was erected.
