Commentary: VishwakshEnar, just by his mere shaking of the bamboo cane in his hand, scares away all the asurAs who threaten the deVas (demigods). That quality of VishwakshEnar is mentioned here by Swami Desikan. In his thiruvaimozhi (3.3.2), nammAzhwAr refers to the nithyasUris as "vAnavar" and VishwakshEnar as "vAnavarkOn". The wife of VishwakshEnar is called sUtravathI. AzhwAr emperumanAr jeeyar thiruvadigaLE Saranam Dasan, Kidambi Soundararajan. The New Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo.
