Guest guest
RNA brings ammunitions from Israel KOL Report KATHMANDU, Aug 26 - The Royal Nepal Army has purchased huge cache of 5.56 mm bullets from Israel a few days ago, the Kantipur daily reported Friday quoting high-level security sources. The bullets were acquired for M-16 and INSAS rifles, according to the daily. The bullets were brought from Israel as India has suspended its military aid to Nepal after the February 1 royal takeover, sources say. America, Britain and India, the three major countries who provided military aid to combat Maoists, have stopped the supply of lethal military equipment to the RNA terming the February 1 move as a setback to democracy. They have, however, partially resumed the non- lethal military assistance to the RNA. (dds)
