Kashmir Shaivism

Kashmir Shaivism focuses on relation between God, Nature and Man,

which overcomes all the barriers of diverse human-cultures. It leads

to the highest level of self-realization, revealing the inner most

secrets of the nature of Self. All the aspects of life are integrated

and taken in totality. Thus, rather than negation and denial, it

celebrates life. We get inspired for both material and spiritual

progress.

Everyone is most welcome to attend.

Kashmir, or Trika, Shaivism is a branch of Hinduism which closely

resembles the oldest known forms of the Faith. It is non-dualistic

and embraces the Shaiva Agamas and all other Hindu scriptures. The

philosophy was most movingly stated through the poems of Kashmiri

saint Lalleshwari (1320-1390 c.e.).

We believe in the unity of all things in the Universe, that the

Creation cannot be separate from the Creator; we are each, therefore

a part of God, and cannot be separated from Him or from each other.

We embrace body, mind and spirit in our desire to uplift humanity.

We aim at the common people. While we remain busy with our work, we

can be seekers and realize our goal of finding our Divine Natures. We

strongly focus that every human being is a part of the great and most

powerful Universal Spirit - no less. So, have full faith in yourself.

Next, we accept you as you are. Everybody has his own qualities,

features, etc. We should appreciate this. So start from where we are.

We have no other place to go. Live and work in the present to be a

true seeker.

Lastly, please remember the Almighty God – all-knowing, all-powerful

and beyond our comprehension. We humans have a limited comprehension

to seek Truth. The realization is only by Divine Grace. Our efforts

should be in harmony and focused towards this spirit.

We have deep faith in spirituality of the common folk. The idea is to

have simple presentations which can slowly carry us to the great

heights and totally guide our lives. We prepare for spiritual

transformation: Yoga for body, Meditation for mind and Divine Grace

for soul.

Sri Virendra has taught this philosophy throughout the world as part

of his desire to re-illumine the world through the poetry of

Lalleshwari. As such he has founded the Lalleshwari International

Trust, and travels widely to promote this wisdom, nearly lost through

the struggles in Kashmir.
