Guest guest
Ayodhya smells conspiracy - UP State and Indian Government knew about terror threat and security of the outer ring of the temple complex did little to stop the terrorists Preetam Sohani Jul. 6, 2005 In Ayodhya, the security of the outer ring of the temple complex was under the control of the Provincial Armed Constabulary of the UP police and the local police. They did little to stop the dual cars passing through their security conduit. The central Government lead by Congress is now playing games to point fingers at the State Government of their ally the Samajwadi Party. Finger pointing may work for a while but the truth is coming out of the bag fast. Playing the blame game in the wake of the militant attack on the Ram temple, the UPA Government accused the UP Government of security lapses, though it admitted that it had received intelligence reports about a possible terrorist strike at a religious institutions. The intelligence report was received at the end of May. But the center did little because the report "did not tell them which temple the militants will attack." This is a great joke! Intelligence will report must say when and where for Congress and Samajwadi Party to protect Hindu places of worships. "We received only general information. There are so many temples, churches and mosques in the country. Such attacks cannot be prevented unless there is specific information" said Mr. Duggal, the Home Secretary. The security of the outer ring of the temple complex was under the control of the Provincial Armed Constabulary of the UP police and the local police, and it was not possible to check every vehicle or person going through that area as it was open to all, he pointed out. It was the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the inner ring that fought valiantly to kill all the sex terrorists. But the fact of the matter is Ayodhya Ram Mandir had severe security lapse in spite of warning received by the State and Central Government controlled by the UPA alliance from Indian Intelligence apparatus. CRPF DGP J.K. Sinha said he was "very satisfied" with the performance of his men. The CRPF personnel fired fast but in a targeted way to kill all the five militants. The sixth militants little further away from others detonated a suicide bomb to blow himself up. http://www.indiadaily.com/editorial/3460.asp
