To Medved radio talk Show: Hindus believe in God

Hi Michael Medved,

I wanted to point out that though Jeff of American Muslims of Puget

Sound seems so reasonable, it was obvious to me that he only holds

Muslims, Christians and Jews to have some connection to God. As one

who does not belong to any of these three faiths, I am repeatedly

shocked to find Jews, inc you, Christians and Muslims speak as if

they have a monopoly on God.

The fact is, the Vedic/Hindu concepts of God and religion are just

as valid and much more ancient than any of the Judaic based faiths.

My direct challenge to both you and Jeff Sadiqy is this: Can either

of you clearly and publicly state that a dedicated follower of

Krishna and the Bhagavad Gita is on the path to God just as any

dedicated Muslim or Jew? I, as a Hindu, will clearly state that a

dedicated Christian, Jew or Muslim is on the path to God just as is a

devout Hindu.

It is because of the Judaic based faiths implicit belief that they

have a monopoly on God that is the root of most inter-religious

strife. Jeff stated that its because of people abusing the

religion.I say its the actual tenents of these 3 Judaic religions

that allows the arrogance of its followers to grow to the point where

they truly have no respect or recognition for the validity of other

God-centered devotional religions. Unrecognized by most non-Hindus is

the fact that a majority of Hindus practice a form of Salvific and

intensly devotional religion that is centered on the individual

soul's connection to a personal God.

So please stop presenting the idea that only the Jews, Christians and

Muslims have a God centered religion. Finally Jeff Sadiqy's absolutly

false statement comapring the acts of hindus and christains to the

current Islamic war of global domination should not have gone

unchallenged. The very reason we have Muslim's battling globally is

because they are the modern day descendents of the Imperial Islamic

Jihad that swept the world from Europe, Africa and Asia. There is no

comparison especially with Hindus, who may or may not have burned a

church down once.

Go to Vrndavan, India, the Jerusalem for Krishna followers. I

challenge you to find even 1 temple that has its original Dieties or

holy relics. There are 10,000 Krishna temples there but not one has

its original Sacred objects becasue of the violent intolerance of

India's former Islamic rulers. But if you got to Jaipur, Rajasatan

you will find all of Vendavan's sacrd relics. Why? Becasue the

Muslims never conquered Jaipur and the Hindu Kings sheltered all the

sacred relics there.

 

I listen to your show frequently, tried to call never get through, so

pls share my points with your listeners....or somehow go on acting as

if 800,000,000 Hindus don't exist.
