Guest guest Posted May 7, 2005 Report Share Posted May 7, 2005 As someone who has met, spoken with and participated in confidential meetings with the Leaders of the BJP/RSS/HSS etc, I say that as long as they do not recognize that the media is the modern day Kuruksetra, they will continue to lose ground. No matter how many massive gatherings or demonstrations they engage in, its all inneffectual. A tree may fall in the forest, but if none are there to note it, it will be a non-event. If the BJP/HSS/RSS, just requested $1 from everyone of its members for a media fund, the defenders of Vedic Culture could easily purchase a global sattellite TV station and thus allow the uninformed a chance to get a balanced view of the Vedic/Hindu/Indian renaisance. The Late Pope John Paul made a very correct statement when he said,"Unless an event is broadcast on TV, it never happened." So as long as the Hindu leaders do not make developing a global media presence a priority, they will continue to be seen and painted in the colors that the media-savvy opposition decides to present. Meanwhile the Hindus and their allies will be spending their energy responding reactively to every latest attack. Of course, I admire and respect the Hindu leaders, but if they can not lead their own troops to the right battlefield, we will continue to be like Arjuna fighting every diversionary attack rather than getting to and killing the target, JAYADRATHA.
