The entry is titled: Continuity of architectural traditions from Sarasvati Civilization. Many architectural traditions of the historical periods in Bharat can be traced to the evidences provided by Sarasvati civilization. Some examples are cited, apart from the barrel vaulted toda huts noted by Yashwant Malaiya and Paul Kekai Manansala (on Indiaarchaeology group) as the models for many monuments -- some of which include the Bhima ratha of Mahabalipuram and khakhara temples of Orissa. The decoding of the script including Munda and other Bharatiya language lexemes rebus for hieroglyphs points to the indigenous evolution of the civilization (and continuity of the culture in Bharat) based on the traditions of jaati and janajaati of Bharat including Toda and Munda as a composite group -- dvi_pava_sinah, like Dvaipa_yana Vya_sa -- of speakers of mleccha, the proto-indian. Rock cut reservoir in Dholavira points to the competence of sangatara_su (stone cutters) of third millennium BCE and the tradition leading to the creation of rock cut caves in Junagadh, Ajanta, Ellora, Vidarbha and many other parts of Bharat. Creation of polished stone pillars and use of ringstones as structural supports for multi-storeyed structures at Dholavira are traditions echoed on many monuments in Bharat. Apart from the rock-cut reservoir at Dholavira with steps, the pushkarini of Mohenjodaro with a courtyard is a tradition echoed in many pushkarinis all over Bharat and also in the stepped wells of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Hampi building the tanks as temples surrounding water wells. The use of gabarbands to create wet fields is echoed in the Grand Anicut (kallanai) on River Kaveri built over 2000 years ago; similar anicuts have been found in Africa pointing to the possibility of migration of this irrigation engineering technique from Bharat.
