He had a habit of sending writers memos about mistakes in their copy, no matter how small. They always started the same way – “Always in sadness, more than anger.” English language, which is considered world language and to whom most of Bharatiya media people, industrial and commercial people are mentally slave. Even English language, which is considered a world language, needs a protector and propagator like Douglas Marshall. No matter how highly educated the Bharatiya media person is, he / she considers its honour by putting filth and garbage in Hindi in the form of Urdu and English words. What to say of the management, who are supposed to use correct and pure Hindi, they themselves use very impure and defective Hindi. It is a case where fence, which is supposed to protect produce or cattle, fence itself becomes destroyer. If management of Hindi world is not able to maintain the purity of Hindi language, then who can protect the purity and survival of Hindi language? Hindi media people are very poorly qualified; they are not able to distinguish between Hindi and Urdu words. If they are told the difference between Hindi and Urdu words, even then they have so much love or affinity for Urdu and English words, even then most of the media people prefer to use Urdu and English words than Hindi words. It is doubtful it is due to poor knowledge of Hindi that they prefer to use Urdu words in Hindi. The other reason could be craze of simplifying Hindi and the only way of simplifying Hindi is to use Urdu words instead of proper available Hindi words. In the film industry, media people rather than giving the cast of Hindi film in Hindi, give cast in English language. Sometimes even Hindi film producers do not bother to give the name of Hindi film in Hindi. In Hindi film Insaan, even the name of film is not written in Hindi. Hindi Film Bullet producer has not bothered to give the name of Hindi film in Hindi. About 50% Hindi film producers do not bother to give the name of Hindi film in Hindi. Mental slavery is not only in the blood of Hindi media people but has gone even into the bones of Hindi media people. In such a case what should be done to decolonise the mind of Bharatiya media people. Like Douglas Marshall Hindi media people should have language expert persons in their departments or in their organisations, who should correct the language of reporters and journalists. Like Douglas Marshall these expert people should send a memo to other media persons pointing out what mistake has been made in the use of Hindi and what is the proper Hindi word. Only then pure Hindi can come out from impoverished media people. In late 60s or early 70s, a Hindi daily "Sandesh" was started in Delhi with lot of fun fare and lots of advertisement. This paper did exceptionally well. After some time, a communist person became the editor of that Hindi paper. He said to the whole staff that Hindi used in Sandesh was difficult and must be simplified by using Urdu words. He instructed the whole staff that lots of Urdu words like Mulk, Thahat, Matahat, Azaadi, Iazzazat, Shurkhiya, Shukria etc. be used instead of proper Hindi words. After the arrival of that editor, the paper closed down in one year. It is the same situation of most of the present Hindi media. BBC. VOA, Radio German use lots, lots of Urdu words in Hindi, but public is unable to raise voice against the unworthy staff of these media organizations. Sanskrit is considered as dead language. It must be revived and must be taught to all media people: Sanskrit Bharati; Reviving The Mother Of All Languageshttp://www.organiser.org/dynamic/modules.php? name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=36&page=18NEW DELHI, INDIA, August 15, 2004: Sanskrit Bharati is a voluntary movement to bring about social change by practicing Sanskrit language in day-to-day life.
