Guest guest Posted January 8, 2005 Report Share Posted January 8, 2005 Dear Members, Just as a reminder as to the purpose of this group I am reposting the group's mission statement. this has been the same ever since it was founded back in Dec 1998. It is not focused on one Sampradaya, message or ideology. Rather it is an attempt to create a small platform for the diverse and varied Vedic views to be sharedwith anyone interested. This has always been a Vedic tradition, thus we always find that great vedic discources and debates were always held throughout Vedic history. Many times there was a concensous but at other times there was direct and confrontational debate. It was a pillar of Vedic society and no opinion was stifled. As the moderater I apologise if anyone is offended or has ever felt threatened by any of the messeges. Please just be firm in your own convictions and faith and understand that no one in this group agrees with the content of every message posted. As for my admiration for His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Let me just say that without him, I personally would have nothing and the treasure of Vedic wisdom would be unknown to me. I continually pray his blessings and the mercy of all the Vaishnavas. Namaste PURPOSE OF VEDICULTURE EGROUP AND GENERAL TOPICS RELEVANT TO THE GROUP (Very rarely have nay messages outside of these parameters been posted) This is an information resource and discussion group for people interested in the World's Ancient Vedic Culture, with a focus on its historical, archeological and scientific aspects.
