What to do, where to go, whom to ask

 

Ever since that November 11, 2004 all of us – the devotees of the

Kanchi Mutt are in a state of utter confusion. On one side, we have

the television, newspapers and the magazines that seem to surpass

each other in doling out more and more shocking stories. On the

other hand, you have a case in Chennai high court and another in

Kanchipuram.

 

In many instances we know what appears in the media is certainly far

from truth. Yet when they persist in spreading such information, we

stop to wonder. (The problem is compounded by the prosecution

feeding the media simultaneously while filing papers to the high

court.) What is the truth? Why is no one speaking up? Where can we

find answers to questions that haunt us, rob us of our peace of

mind, and are threatening to attack the very foundation of an

institution that all of us have come to respect, love and admire.

 

The anguish and pain of the devotees all around the world are

immeasurable. It is their constant yearning to know the truth and

the real issues, that has lead to the formation of Kanchi-sathya.org

 

Kanchi-Sathya is a site for the truth seekers. It is for and by the

devotees of Periyavaal and the Kanchi Mutt. You could be a devotee

of the Kanchi Mutt. You could be a friend who wants to get behind

all the media noise. You could be a media hound looking for

authentic information to do justice to your story.

 

Kanchi-Sathya will only present what we believe is genuine and

authentic information. It will primarily focus on presenting

information that is not covered in the media because it is not

sensational or interesting. It will answer many of your articulated

and unarticulated questions. It will also make intelligent

observations and raise pertinent questions. It will make you think.

 

This site will be deemed successful if it brings better awareness of

the key issues, some understanding, hope and clarity even if it is

only for a few. It will be deemed successful if it reinforces our

determination to stand by our faith and be steadfast in our

commitment to serve our Periyavaal and the Mutt.
