Namaste Ji

I am pleased to advise that a Vedic Almanac (Calendar/Panchang) for year

2005 will be available locally. This calendar will be based upon siddhantic

calendar updated and improved upon by Arya Bhatta some 2000 years ago. An

actual Vedic calendar needs to be updated every 72 years in view of the

precession of the earth. This calendar will contain references to historical

and astronomical events/festivals.

This is the first calendar that gives the scientific explanation of the

Indian festivals and relates the association of various seasonal cycles

with the human biological cycle as described in the Vedas, Upveda and

Vedangas. Scientific explanations of the following terms are also included:

tithi, yugas, manvantaras, kalpas, sankrantis, Uttarayana, Dakshinayana,

Devayana, Pitripaksha, Mahashivaratri, Panchaka periods, Kumbha melas etc.

The 2005 version will contain the following improvements:

It has been supplied with 12 additional pages in the beginning on the style

of Christian calendar. Through them even a lay man will also be able to get

Information of Indian Calendar following the dates and months of Christian

calendar. Afterwards it gives the detailed article on the origin and

Development of various Eras of the World followed by a an exhaustive list

of all the eras (new and old) of the world updated in correspondance with

the christian era 2005. It gives articles on the Astronomical and Historical

significance of some important festivals of India. It also provide photos

that were available to me of Indian Heros, right from Rama, Parshurama,

Krishna, Dayananda, Shraddhananda, Subhash Chander Bose, Bhagat Singh, etc.

Lastly it gives the detailed desription of

constelations etc like earlier one for the benefit of interested persons.

Please reply if you need information on how to purchase your copy or any

other information.

Thanks & Best Regards
