The Golden Jubilee Celebrations

begin with a brisk note

 

 

We feel proud in saying that the "Golden Jubilee" of Arya Samaj Gandhidham have

started on a grand scale. At least 1200 delegates from India and abroad are

attending the functions.

 

The celebrations started with the chanting of Ved Mantras by Acharya Arya

Nareshji of Udgith Sadhana Sthali Himachal Pradesh. He also taught every body

how to do Pranayam and Meditation for healthy living.

 

Then Suryadevi Shastri Principal Panini Kanya Gurukul Varanasi performed Yajya

(Havan). 51 couples took part in the Havan. Suryadeviji explained the benefits

of Havan. The best benefit is that Havan fights pollution that is it is

eco-friendly and this was practically proved as it started raining when the

Havan was nearing end. This is the strength of Ved Mantras and Havan which we

are forgetting in our blind run in following the modern culture which is

valueless. It looked as if even God was happy with what was being done. After

the Havan the Flag hoisting ceremony was performed by auspicious hands of Sheth

Shri Kanaksinh Meghji Ashar of Muscat.

 

The first programme was the releasing of the "Jeevan Prabhat" project report

specially made on Compact Disc. The CD was released by Smt. Nirmalaben Gajwani

Chairperson Sindhu Resetlement Corporation in the august presence of Shri A K

Joti Chairman Kandla Port Trust and other dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion

Shri Joti said that when the western countries have expressed their unability in

fighting against terrorism and have to resort to war against terrorism, it is

the cultural values which Arya Samaj is imbibing in the children which will

spread the message of peace and happiness in the world. He said that to give

money for any work is easy but to do practical work is very difficult and that

the work of molding the lives of these children is a stupendous task which Arya

Samaj Gandhidham has taken up and appealed to every body present to give all the

possible help for this noble cause. Smt Nirmalaben Gajvani Chairperson Sindhu

Resettlement Corporation remembered the work of Bhai Pratap the founder of

Gandhidham. She that these youngsters of Arya Samaj Gandhidham were

instrumental in making Gandhidham world famous through their social work. She

said that Sindhu Resettlement Corporation is always ready to provide all

possible help to Arya Samaj Gandhidham in its drive to mold the lives of the

earthquake affected children of "Jeevan Prabhat".

 

All the other dignitaries present praised the works which Arya Samaj Gandhidham

has carried out in the past fifty years for the benefit of the people of

Gandhidham and specially the work Arya Samaj Gandhidham has done after the

earthquake of 26th January 2001.

 

Then there was a conference on how to lead a pious & moral life this function

was chaired by Shri Omprkash Jawar Vice Secretary Paropkarini Sabha Ajmer. Shri

Indra devji, Shri P L Priharji, The speakers were Shri Satyanand Naishthik from

Delhi, Acharya Arya Naresh from Udgith Sadhna Sthali Himachal, Suryadevi

Shastri Principal Panini Kanya Gurukul Varanasi. All of them were of the

opinion that to lead a pious life we have to develop good habits specially one

should read good books written by good authors. One should eat healthy food and

not junk food as it is said that your brain works as per the food you consume.

They all laid stress on the after affects of watching too much Television,

especially on children who are our future.

 

In the afternoon there was a conference on blind faith. The chief guest was Shri

Nandubhai Goyal, Swami Satyamji President International Aryan League Delhi,

Anand Kumarji Vice President International Aryan League Delhi, Shri Mithailalji

President Mumbai Arya Pratinidhi Sabha, Arun Abrolji Secretary Mumbai Arya

Pratinidhi Sabha, Shri Amarsing Secretary Rajasthan Arya Pratinidhi Sabha, Shri

kalyandevji Arya President Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Gujarat, Acharya Arya Naresh

from Udgith Sadhna Sthali Himachal, Suryadevi Shastri Principal Panini Kanya

Gurukul Varanasi. Shri Chaturbhai Chauhan and his team performed a Drama on how

the unsuspecting public was cheated by the so called Religious persons, how they

double money, how Kumkum etc is got from a coconut and many more things. The

other speakers also spoke on how to fight blind faith and what Rishi Dayanand

Taught us and how we should follow it.

 

The day ended on a high note with the children of "Jeevan Prabhat" performing

various plays and dances and other cultural items.

 

Shri Vachonidhi Arya Hon.Gen.Secretary gave a brief description of the various

activities of Arya Samaj Gandhidham. Shri Mohanbhai Jangid Scretary of Arya

Samaj Gandhidham conducted all the programmes. And all other volunteers and

members worked hard to make the day a success.
